n Scope Prospective authors are invited to submit high quality papers reportingresults on activities related to cloud computing, which is envisioned to changethe IT landscape, is consumer/delivery model where IT capabilities are offeredas services billed based on usage. Examples of cloud services include, but arenot limited to, IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service), PaaS(Platform-as-a-Service) and SaaS (Software-as-a-Service). The underlying cloud architecture includes a pool of virtualized compute, storage and networking resources that can be aggregated and launched asplatforms to run workloads and satisfy their Service-Level Agreement (SLA).Cloud architectures also include provisions to best guarantee service deliveryfor clients and at the same time optimize efficiency of resources of providers.Examples of provisions include, but are not limited to, elasticity throughup/down scaling of resources to track workload behavior, extensive monitoring, failure mitigation, and energy optimizations. The two main technologies enabling clouds are: (i) Virtualization, thefoundation of clouds; and (ii) manageability (autonomics), the command andcontrol of clouds. CloudComp is intended to bring together researchers, developers, and industry professionals to discuss recent advances andexperiences in clouds, cloud computing and related ecosystems and businesssupport. The conference also aims at presenting the recent advances, experiences and results obtained in the wider area of cloud computing, giving usersand researchers equally a chance to gain better insight into the capabilitiesand limitations of current cloud systems. n Topics - Cloud-enabled mediatechnologies - Cloud-enabled mobile andrich media services - Cloud computingprogramming and application development - Scalability, discovery ofservices and data in Cloud computing infrastructures - Client-cloud computingchallenges - Administration andManageability - Distributed and ParallelQuery Processing - Distributed and Cloud Networking - Storage Architectures - Privacy, security, ownership and reliability issues - Dynamic resourceprovisioning - Roaming services inClouds - Agent-based Cloud Computing - Virtualization managementoperations /discovery, configuration, provisioning, performance, etc. n Publications Accepted papers will bepublished in the CloudComp Conference Proceedings and by Springer-Verlag in theLecture Notes of ICST (LNICST). The proceedings will be available both in bookform and via the SpringerLink digital library, which is one of the largestdigital libraries online and covers a variety of scientific disciplines. The proceedings are submitted for inclusionto the leading indexing services: DBLP, Google Scholar, ThomsonScientific ISI Proceedings, EI Elsevier Engineering Index, CrossRef, Scopus, aswell as ICST's own EU Digital Library (EUDL). Selected papers, particularly those nominated for the Best Paper competition, will beautomatically considered for publication in the Special Issues on “Cloudifiedand Software Defined 5G Networks: Architecture, Solutions, and EmergingApplications” of Springer Mobile Networks and Applications (MONET) journal(SCIE-indexed), more details can be found on the MONET website. n Papersubmission Papers should be submittedthrough EAI 'Confy' system at Confy, and have to comply with the SPRINGER format (see Author'skit section). - How do I submit a paperin Confy? 2.
